It sounds counterintuitive, but on the latest episode of @bendy_bodies, Morgan Groover shared that she often tells patients **not** to cancel physical therapy because of a POTS flare.
Instead, that appointment may simply look different.
Rather than pushing through a workout or strengthening exercises, she may spend more time on manual therapy and techniques to help calm the nervous system.
The goal is to meet the patient where they are that day.
Rehabilitation is not about forcing your body to fit the plan.
It's about adapting the plan to fit your body.
Some days, progress looks like building strength.
Other days, progress looks like reducing symptoms so you can leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Have you ever canceled an appointment because you were having a flare, only to wish you had gone anyway?

Morgan explains that a flare does not necessarily mean therapy should be canceled. Instead, the session may be adapted to focus on manual therapy and calming the nervous system to meet the patient's needs that day.
