On the latest episode of the Bendy Bodies Podcast, I spoke with Dr. Jessica Eccles about why neurodivergence in women is so often missed.
Many women learn to mask - appearing socially confident, capable, and “fine” on the outside.
But that performance comes at a cost.
Masking can look like:➡️ suppressing hyperactivity➡️ forcing social ease➡️ pushing through exhaustion
And while masking can help navigate the world… it can also be deeply draining - physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Over time, it doesn’t just impact energy. It can impact identity.
Because when you’re always performing, you start to wonder: who am I underneath the mask?
These conversations matter - because so many women are overlooked, misdiagnosed, or dismissed entirely.
💬 Question for you: Have you ever felt like you had to “mask” just to get through the day?
