On the latest episode of @bendy_bodies, Morgan Groover joined cohost Dr. Dacre Knight of @UVAHealth to discuss why rehabilitation should prepare you for the life you actually want to live.

If you're a dancer who keeps spraining your ankle, the question isn't simply, "Are you getting stronger?"

It's:

What are we strengthening?

What positions are we strengthening in?

Are we preparing your body for the demands of dancing?

The same principle applies whether your goal is hiking, lifting your child, gardening, or returning to your sport.

A successful rehabilitation program doesn't just improve your performance in the clinic. It helps you succeed in the activities that matter most to you.

If you're making progress but still getting injured, it doesn't necessarily mean you're failing.

It may mean the program needs to change.

There's almost always somewhere we can start.

Have you ever felt stronger in therapy but still struggled when you returned to the activity you love?
