On Bendy Bodies, I’m joined by Dr. Brooke Winder to zoom out on pelvic floor dysfunction in hypermobility
Because the real question isn’t
“How do we fix the pelvic floor?”
It’s
“Why is it working so hard?”
In hypermobility, ligaments provide less stability
So the body compensates
Often, that means the pelvic floor is doing extra work
→ to stabilize the hips
→ to support joint laxity
→ to make up for what other structures aren’t doing
So the pelvic floor isn’t the problem
It’s responding to the problem
Improve stability around it
and you often give it permission to relax and function better
💬 Have you ever worked on your hips or core and noticed pelvic symptoms change?
