I tore a small muscle in my quad while playing pickleball… and what happened next surprised me.

On the most recent episode of Bendy Bodies, I shared how the quad injury itself healed quite quickly, but suddenly all these other pains in my body became much louder.

My shoulders hurt more.

My knees hurt more.
Old lingering aches I had been managing suddenly resurfaced.

It was a reminder that pain often does not stay isolated.

Especially in people with hypermobility, connective tissue disorders, or chronic pain conditions, one injury (or flare of pain) can sometimes increase overall pain sensitivity throughout the body.

Pain can truly beget pain.

And sometimes the hardest part is not the original injury. It is the ripple effect that follows afterward.

💬 Have you ever noticed other symptoms or pain flare after an injury somewhere else in your body?
