As I shared in this clip from @bendy_bodies, part of this comes down to confirmation bias – we naturally lean toward information that validates our own experiences. But for many people living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders, there’s an added layer.

So many in our community have faced trauma, whether physical, psychological, or both.

When you hear something that feels like it either confirms or denies your own journey, it can be incredibly triggering. And that reaction makes complete sense.

This is a reminder that your feelings are valid. These conversations can be complex, and it’s okay if they bring up big emotions.

Healing requires safe spaces, compassion, and the ability to honor each other’s truths.

👉 I’d love to hear from you: Have you noticed this in your own journey? How do you take care of yourself when these emotions surface?
