On today’s episode of @bendy_bodies, cardiologist @drcutchins explains how problems with blood flow in the pelvis can lead to POTS-like symptoms such as brain fog, fatigue, and a racing heart when standing.

When blood pools in the pelvis and legs, less returns to the heart—and that means less blood reaches the brain. The result? Dizziness, high heart rate, and exercise intolerance that can look just like POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome).

Dr. Cutchins shares three key red flags that may point to pelvic venous disease:

1️⃣ Pelvic pain that worsens after sitting or standing for long periods
2️⃣ Low back pain that improves when lying flat
3️⃣ Leg discomfort—tingling, tightness, or pain from venous pooling

Understanding these signs can help patients and providers look beyond POTS to the root cause.

💬 Question for you: Have you or your provider ever explored vascular causes for your POTS-like symptoms?
